Programs Include:
Response to Intervention {RTI}
One of the essential elements of a successful and effective RTI model is school staff that can implement specific research-based interventions that address students’ learning challenges. This two-day workshop offers effective solutions by focusing on simple instructional responses that will increase the teachers’ repository of successful interventions on day one. Day two centers on helping struggling students learn how to learn.
Youth Development
This youth leadership program inspires learning and positive youth development. FEA youth leadership programs are designed to empower teens and pre-teens through dynamic after school, weekend, and summer learning opportunities — and are the pathway to improving your school and community. Program content is intended to improve community involvement and social responsibility, while creating leadership capabilities with applied learning in mind for today’s youth.
SMARTmove — Formative Assessment for Informed Instruction
Transforming schools and classrooms through professional learning, the SMARTmove program is grounded in the belief that substantive expertise and effective strategies exist within the school, but much of this knowledge has not been systematically managed and shared. Through skillfully executed workshops and follow-up coaching sessions, SMARTmove facilitators build the capacity of teachers and principals to utilize the potential of professional learning communities and formative assessment strategies to transform a school and improve student learning.
Parent University
This four-day workshop teaches parents to build cognitive frameworks in which their children will function more successfully in school. Topics include: teaching parents writing as process; visual learning strategies for math, spelling, and other subjects; discipline at home and at school; and management skills and study skills for students.
Blueprints for Student Success
Blueprints is an intensive, teacher-friendly approach to instruction based on the research and practice of Reuven Feuerstein, Ruby Payne, Robert Dilts, and Betty Garner. Participants develop the skills, strategies,and approaches to accelerate and improve the learning process, as well as stabilizing student behavior. Blueprint educators create and maintain classrooms where “all students” learn the cognitive frameworks to experience success, both behaviorally and academically.
